MURDER REMAINS UNSOLVED

Barney Taylor
The Leon County Sheriff's Office is requesting assistance
from the public in helping solve a murder. Citizens in
the vicinity at the time of the crime may have witnessed
something relevant and are encouraged to contact law
enforcement.
At 7:00 a.m. on September 21st, 2007, deputies were called to Tallahassee Roofing Company located
at 5521 Tower Road after an employee discovered the body of owner Barney Taylor, 68, who had died as a result of gunshot
wounds. Detectives believe robbery was the motive.
A $31,000 reward is being offered by Mr. Taylor's family and friends for any information leading to an arrest.
Anyone who might have been in the area of the business prior to 7:00 a.m. or who may have information on this shooting is asked to
call the Leon County Sheriff's Office, Violent Crimes Unit at 850-922-3300.
