Community Relations

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office Community Relations Unit is comprised of sworn and civilian employees. These positions include Director, Public Information Officer, Sworn Crime Prevention Practitioners, a Media Specialist and videographer.

The CRU disseminates public safety and crime prevention information, plans and promotes community initiatives, as well as establishes and maintains community partnerships. LCSO Community Relations Deputies are designated “Florida Crime Prevention Practitioners” and maintain current Instructor Certification status.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office Community Relations Unit offers various programs for personal and commercial safety offered free of charge to all Leon County residents and business owners such as:
